Georgia Pro 2027: a February mountain story to follow from Svaneti
The Freeride World Tour lists Tetnuldi, in Georgia’s Svaneti region, on its 2027 calendar. Its Georgia Pro event page gives a full weather window of 20–26 February 2027. For travellers, that window is useful context for the mountain season, rather than a promise that a competition will happen on a particular day.
The dates were checked on 3 November 2026 against the organiser’s event page and the FIS calendar announcement. Follow the organiser for the final competition schedule and any changes.
An event to follow from Svaneti
The announced venue is the Kakhiani face in the Tetnuldi region. The official event page also brings together photographs and highlights from earlier editions, making it a starting point for discovering this part of Georgia’s mountain culture.
Watching professional freeriding and planning a resort ski holiday involve different decisions. Use the event coverage for the story of the competition, then use the resort operator’s information to check what is available for your own visit.
Start with your base, then build the trip
A trip centred on Mestia gives you a way to explore the two ski areas associated with the town: Hatsvali and Tetnuldi. Before committing to a daily plan, check lift information, the weather and the practical journey between your accommodation and the area you want to visit.
Leave room in the itinerary for the mountain setting itself. A day of changing weather can change the rhythm of a trip, so a useful plan includes time away from the slopes as well as skiing. Our resort overview helps you compare Svaneti with Gudauri, Bakuriani and Goderdzi before choosing your base.
